Kinograf Pictures was founded by Kong Pahurak in 2012. Once a photographer, Kong changed direction to filmmaking after finding it became more difficult for Thai independent photographers to find outlets for their works. In 2007, Kong was granted a scholorship from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan (MEXT) and continued his study, this time in filmmaking, at Waseda University, Tokyo.

In 2009, he finished his first short film, “Censored”. The film was well received and was screening at festivals around the world. Since then, Kong directed a number of works, including short films, commercials, and promotion videos. He is also preparing his debut feature length film, “In the Flesh”, which will be released in 2013.

The objective of Kinograf Pictures is simple; to create high quality visual media with small but very specialized teams. With digital revolution, creating a good piece of work is not rely on big and complicated machines or an army of staffs anymore. One right man (and right tools) can make a big difference now.
